Our support groups run weekly, just turn up, no need to book. They are free, but a donation is appreciated.

Calm Us
Date: From 04.01.2017 to 20.12.2017; Every Wednesday 7pm – 8:30pm

This group is designed for anyone who is concerned or struggling coping with a loved one’s use of alcohol or drugs. It aims to help teach new skills for communicating with the dependent person. Identify ways of looking after personal wellbeing rather than focusing on the loved ones wellbeing. Learn how to not feel responsible for the loved ones use of substances. Explore the effects of stigma on the family. Meet other people who are struggling with similar issues. Experience the therapeutic value of people with similar problems supporting one another.

Let’s Get Talking
Date: From 04.01.2017 to 20.12.2017; Every Wednesday 4pm – 5pm

A free and confidential weekly support group for those aged 13-16. Each week we will be discussing a topic that is important to the group. A facilitator will talk a little about the select topic, offering information, help and support with the group. Following this there will be time and space for anyone who has questions or would like to share anything with the rest of the group.

Mindfulness
Date: From 04.01.2017 to 20.12.2017; Every Wednesday 7pm – 8:30pm

This is a group that people can come along to whenever they choose and learn the basic philosophy behind mindfulness meditation practice. Meditation will be guided by a mindfulness practitioner and will take place in chairs or on the floor. It aims to teach group members how to meditate by using breathing and muscle relaxing techniques. It will also help group attendees learn how to be more present and how to reduce, through meditation, anxiety stress and depression.
